Jalopyrama 2015 will be held on Saturday October 24th at the Carroll County Agricultural (Ag) Center Shipley Arena.
The format of this year’s show will be similar to previous Jalopyramas but only larger!
We are going to decorate the Arena in similar fashion to that of the Oakland, Ca. 1959 roadster show as shown in the photo. We are sending out invitations to all previous entrants to showcase again in a special area within our new venue. PLUS, since we have so much room on the Arena floor, we will be inviting first timers with new barn finds, new traditional builds and re-discovered vintage hot rods, customs and vintage racers from all over the country.
Our cut-off date for cars admitted into the fenced Arena campus, outside, will be 1963 and earlier.
This year’s show will be made up of as many of the previous selectees who respond to our invitation to show again in this new venue. Those Re-union hot rods, customs & vintage racers will be joined with a new selection of rare, unknown and recently found hot rods from around the country.
Lance Sorchik has once again offered to do the artwork for our t-shirts & posters. Poster will once again be screened printed by Tyler Hilton as he has done for us the past two years.
We are looking at the Carroll County Hospital Cancer Center, the ARC of Carroll County and possibly another non-profit organization as recipients and benefactors of the show proceeds.
There are still many thoughts and ideas brewing in our old rusty minds so be prepared to see some of these ideas materialize at the Carroll County Ag Center in the Shipley Arena.
Thanks for all your support to the hot rodding community and we look forward to making the Jalopyrama more convenient for many more folks to enjoy with or without their hot rod.
Thanks, Mike Szuba & the Rusty Nuts Hot Rod Group
